A place to play, to experiment, to create, to share, to collaborate, to break things and start again...
IdeasLabs are all of the above and more. If you have an idea and want to test it or to bring it to life, bring it to an IdeasLab. If you have no idea and want to learn techniques for idea generation, creative thinking and problem-solving, come to an IdeasLab.
The principles are simple. We play, we reflect, we adapt, we play again. And so it goes on.
Sessions are typically split into two parts. During the first, we’ll introduce new tools and techniques, creativity games and design thinking methods for you to practise. In the second, you start to apply these to your own ideas, harnessing the diverse perspectives and experiences of the group to help you iterate and evolve your thinking. And when the time is right, we’ll start to hook you up with other innovators, experts, collaborators, resources and facilities to help you take your ideas to the next level.
Our focus is on making things happen, taking them out of our imaginations, off the drawing board, and into reality where they will fly or they will fail. In particular, we’re looking to identify sustainable solutions to real problems, large or small, local or global, to make the world a better place now and in the future.
Registration not essential, but we recommend you let us know you're going to attend an IdeasLab so we can ensure your needs are met on the day. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to introduce yourself in advance.
