This workshop will introduce the next UK Research Excellence Framework due for submission in 2020 with results due in 2021. We will explore the differences between REF2014 and REF2021, concentrating on the major changes including the requirement for open access outputs, output portability and staff eligibility definitions. By the end of the session you should an understanding of the REF process. This workshop is open to all researchers, in particular early career researchers and those who may be less familiar with this REF assessment exercise
