Overview

Successful collaboration is the key to moving research further and faster, gaining access to a wider range of facilities and resources and connecting you with leading people within and outside the sector. International collaborative research has also been identified as contributing to some of the highest impact research activity. This workshop will explore existing strategic partnerships, consider how to extend your collaborative reach and successfully lead multidisciplinary collaborations.

 Learning Outcomes

By the end of the workshop you will:

-Be aware of the many forms of collaboration, consultancy and business engagement and the policies and support available at Lancaster.

-Understand the pitfalls of collaboration, how to overcome them and ensure that partnerships benefit you, the University and the funders of research.

-Identify what you need to do to be able to successfully lead and manage an effective collaborative partnership

-Consider strategic internal and external drivers promoting multidisciplinary collaborations and interdisciplinary research.

-Begin to identify a wider community of collaborative partners engaging all of the key stakeholder in the research of your team.
