Target Audience: This workshop is designed for any member of academic or research staff from any discipline with some experience of academic publishing

Overview:

This workshop is for research active staff who want to develop a broader publication strategy both within and outside the academic community and become more involved in publication peer review and editing.

By the end of this workshop you will:

·      Have reflected on your publication strategy to date and identified the impact your research has made so far.

·      Identified key stakeholders in your research and channels through which you can engage with them more effectively.

·      Consider the drive towards open access and why this might be the best route to publishing in the future

·      Understand the journal peer review process; unpick review criteria and what editors want from authors and reviewers.
