Striking Women: Narratives from the Past, Present and Future
Event box
An informative and interactive Women's History Month event reflecting on narratives from the past and present and also considering the future.
This event includes talks from academics, researchers, students and members of our local community.
The aim of the event is to provide a safe space for everyone to discuss the role of women in strikes and protests but also politics, more generally. Discussions will vary from the sharing of academic research to reflections on personal experiences. The ‘future’ part of the event hopes to inspire all attendees to contribute to the discussion more widely and how we can move beyond parity and towards equity.
CONTENT WARNING: Please be aware that some discussions may touch on particularly sensitive topics (e.g. abortion).
By registering to this event we expect all attendees to agree to be respectful to each other and their views.
More details to follow.
Refreshments will be provided.
