This safety induction to the LEC department is designed for new PGR students who will be using the LEC facilities. It sets out expected behaviour and gives key information on health, safety and wellbeing at LEC.

Health and safety isn't just a tick-box exercise, nor is it seeking to find someone to blame. There are very good legal and moral reasons it exists. 

Our goal is to promote a safe, healthy and secure working environment for all our staff and students and to ensure consistent good working practices. 

Everyone is responsible for taking reasonable steps to ensure the safety of themselves, and any others who may be affected by their work or study activities.
