Davy Notebooks Project online transcribe-a-thon
Event box
This online event is part of our Library Festival.
Join the Davy Notebooks Project team on Saturday 11th September 1-2pm (UK time) for our second online transcribe-a-thon! We'll be hosting the event live on MS Teams, and have 50 places available - please reserve yours today at the link below.
Over the course of this one-hour event, you'll hear more about the project from the team, have the opportunity to transcribe part of a Davy notebook, and be able to meet and discuss your work in real time with fellow transcribers.
On the day, there'll be a good mix of both experienced and new transcribers - this is an excellent opportunity to acquire the basic skills to read and transcribe early nineteenth-century manuscripts, and to pass on your hints and tips to others just starting out on the project.
It'll be very informal, no prior experience or preparation is necessary, and questions/discussion will, of course, be very warmly welcomed. We hope to see you there!
You are registering to join as an online participant. You will receive an online meeting link in the email confirmation for your registration. Further guidance for joining the event will be emailed to you two days prior to the event.
The data we collect when you register will be used in relation to managing and evaluating this event. Data is collected and used in accordance with Lancaster University's events privacy policy.
