Overview
UPDATE 11/9/23: Bookings are now closed for in-person attendance at this session: "Ethical and moral use of ChatGPT" with, Frederick Boafo, Lancaster University Ghana. Online registration for this session is unaffected. Due to technicalities the booking form can't be edited, please note when registering. You can still register for the remainder of the event until 12:00 12/9/23.
This event brings together colleagues at Lancaster University and partner institutions to share practices, ideas, and reflections on teaching and learning for students and staff, in relation to the broad topics of ethics, responsibility and ecological sustainability. The aim is for presenters and attendees to learn from each other, stimulate ideas for future teaching/learning, and to reflect on issues and dilemmas in these areas.
The day is open to Lancaster University and partner institution staff involved in, or interested in being involved in, delivering or supporting teaching and learning activities involving the broad topics of ethics, responsibility and ecological sustainability. Partner institutions could include HE partners (e.g. Leipzig, LU Ghana) or FE partners (e.g. Blackpool & Fylde College).
There are three streams during the day, and contributions range from short presentations with Q&A sessions (grouped in threes), interactive workshops, panel discussions and focussed conversations. . You can register for the day and then select which workshops you attend on arrival, APART from one of the focussed conversations where we will need to limit numbers for facilitation purposes.
The in-person event will be held in the Lancaster University Management School West Pavilion – rooms to be confirmed closer to the time - and most sessions will also be hybrid. Sessions may be recorded.
If you are attending in person, a vegetarian lunch and refreshments will be provided. If you are attending virtually, there will be an online networking session during the lunch break.
The deadline for registration has been extended to 12:00 BST 12 Sep 2023
