This workshop will introduce the concept of 'impact' as defined by the UK Research Excellence Framework. We will explore what classifies as research impact under the framework and opportunities to generate and enhance impact through the media, engagement and funding. By the end of the session you should be able to more confidently articulate the potential impact of your research and what it might contribute societally. This workshop is open to all researchers, in particular early career researchers and those who may be less familiar with this relatively new framework.
