Sharing Practice: Enhancing student’s learning by improving engagement
Event box
This is the seventh in a series of sharing practice and exemplars events from the Digital Lancaster 'Student Digital Projects'.
A number of bursaries of £800 each funded students to work alongside an academic to develop ‘the digital’ in their teaching.
This session focuses on two projects – tools to enhance student engagement in lectures and seminars, and guidance for students presenting videos in a distance learning program.
- Tools to enhance student engagement in lectures and seminars: exploring ways to increase interaction and engagement through the Personal Response System, Turning Point.
- Guidance for students presenting videos in a distance learning program: exploring online presentation approaches to enhance current approach, recommendations and creation of resource.
Key lessons from the evaluation of the development and implementation of these projects will be shared to encourage others to think about how this might enhance their own teaching and student learning.
