9.30 - 9.45  Registration, Refreshments

9.45 - 10.00  Opening remarks

10.00 – 12.00  Morning workshop 

Introduction to Probability

- Probability definitions and basic calculations
- Conditional probabilities and independence
- Expectation, variance and standard deviation for discrete random variables

12.00 - 12.30 Lunch Break (lunch will be provided)

12.30 – 14.30  Afternoon workshop 

Probability Distributions 

- Binomial, Poisson and Normal distributions
- Probability mass functions, probability density functions and cumulative distribution functions
- Expectations, variances and standard deviations

The students who are interested in attending only the afternoon workshops are invited for lunch at 12pm.
