In a world that is becoming increasingly more global and interconnected, being culturally competent is an essential key employability skill for 2020 and beyond. Cross-Cultural Competence is the ability to understand, communicate with and effectively interact with people across cultures and from diffrent backgrounds.

This workshop will enable you to understand why being culturally competent is important for your future career, explore what cross-cultural competence is and is not and help you identify ways to GROW your cross- cultural competence and then provide examples to employers in future applications or interviews.

The key skills series focuses on enabling you to GROW the skills that will help you to thrive and stand out in the graduate job market.  Look out for other key skills workshops.
Please note the timing for this 2 hour workshop. Key skills workshops are longer than our regular workshops to help support a deeper understanding of  cross-cultural competence and how to both develop and demonstrate your cross-cultural competence to employers
