Author event with Damian Barr: Reading from 'You will be safe here' and Q&A

In recognition of LGBT+ History Month 2021, the Library in partnership with the Lancaster University Staff LGBT+ network, are delighted to welcome Damian Barr, Lancaster University alumnus and award-winning writer and broadcaster, to read from his debut novel 'You will be safe here'.
Following the reading there will be an opportunity to ask Damian questions.
'You will be safe here' was named BBC Radio 4 Book at Bedtime and Book of the Year in the Observer, Irish Times and on NPR.
The event, which is free to attend, is open to University staff, students and the wider community.
We would encourage you to purchase the book from bookshop.org - supporting local, independent bookshops.
