Join this online workshop to learn how to get started using EndNote (Desktop), the reference manager recommended by the Library.

Learning outcomes

  • To produce a personal EndNote Desktop library of bibliographic information obtained directly from on-line searches and databases
  • To  insert citations and a bibliography in Microsoft Word from the references in your EndNote Desktop library, using the referencing format and style required by your department
  • To effectively develop a research database

Introduction to the workshop: short recording

Please note in advance of the workshop there is a requirement that you undertake some pre-workshop activities that should take around 30 minutes to complete. This material will be shared on registering for the event.

  1. EndNote Desktop installed on your device or accessed via AppsAnywhere
  2. Knowledge of the referencing process

Feedback from previous workshops

The most useful thing I learned in this session was how to practically use EndNote: how to export citations, manage them and import them in a word document

The pre-session activities and videos made the workshop more efficient

I liked that the trainers directly showed how to do things on EndNote and gave time to practice
