Yoga session
Event box
Do you need to counter-act the effects of sitting all day?
Or standing too long in one place?
Need to take some calm distance from the goings-on of the day?
Here at the event room in Lancaster University Library, we are offering a free Yoga class specifically aimed at addressing these issues!
The classes run during term time on Tuesdays, 6-7.15pm (first class, week 22, Tuesday 3rd May, 2022), and are open to all staff and students at the University.
The class is suitable for all levels of experience. Although strength and flexibility is developed, this is done in a subtle way focused on releasing tension and cultivating body awareness.
What will I need to join the class?
Please wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat if you have one, although there are spares. Warmer layers for use during relaxation at the end of the class are advisable. Yoga should be practiced in bare feet if at all possible.
Who is teaching the class?
The class is taught on alternate weeks by two members of the University staff who are also qualified and experienced Yoga teachers, Dina Lew (BWY Dip) and Francesca Citron (Independent Yoga Network). If you have any queries, please feel free to email Dina at a.r.lew@lancaster.ac.uk.
