Developing and using marking criteria
Event box
This session encourages participants to create and apply marking criteria using an example from the Great British Bake-off as a basis for this activity.
This enables the focus of discussion to be on the principles of developing clear and agreed marking criteria and their application through a simulated marking and moderation process.
During the session you will explore:
l The design and application of marking criteria
l Challenges in creating and applying marking criteria
l Interplay between marking criteria and intended learning outcomes
l How the principles elicited by this activity apply to your own context
The workshop will be led by Susan Armitage
