MASH workshop: Brush up your stats skills

This series of workshops aim to support your learning in maths while you study at Lancaster University.
These sessions are not compulsory, they are open to all students (registration is required) but strongly recommended for those students who are using statistics as part of their degree.
The workshops will run on Wednesdays, 3-4.50pm, in weeks 11-20.
The material will become available on the MASH Moodle page.
Each week we will cover a different topic. Some topics are linked to each other so a regular attendance is recommended. The list of topics is provided below:
- 18 January (week 11): Probability Theory
- 25 January (week 12): Data exploration
- 1 February (week 13): Discrete Distributions
- 8 February (week 14): Continuous Distributions
- 15 February (week 15): Revision session (subject to student needs and feedback)
- 22 February (week 16): Confidence Intervals
- 1 March (week 17): Introduction to Hypothesis Testing
- 8 March (week 18): Further study on Hypothesis Testing
- 15 March (week 19): Correlation and Linear Regression
- 22 March (week 20): Revision session (subject to student needs and feedback)
