Many educational institutions talk a good game about ‘decolonisation of the curriculum.’ But many also continue to display the same problems that are barriers to the success and fulfilment of certain student groups. So what to do? In this presentation, Emmanuel Adeyemi-Abere argues that we do not have to look too far away from out own doorstep for inspiration. He explores the communal activism of Black British women in the 1970s and points out how their ideas are still very much relevant today.
