LUSU Trees for Votes Planting 2024
Event box
Help us plant 232 trees on campus with us! Join us on the morning of Wednesday 28th March (9:30 start).
Through the Trees for Votes initiative, the students' union commits to plant a tree for every 20 votes received in student elections!! Working in partnership with Green Lancaster and the Facilities Grounds Team, this year we will be planting our trees to expand and enhance woodland near the rugby pitches and sports centre.
All students are invited to take part, no prior experience required. Please meet at the ECOHub on Alexandra Park at 9:30 from where we will make our way on foot to the day’s location.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate outdoor footwear and clothing. If you would like to, you will be able to borrow waterproofs and wellies on the day. Gloves and equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring snacks and a drink with you as we usually have an al fresco a tea-break during the session. We will provide tea for all participants.
Please contact us on green@lancaster.ac.uk in advance of the session if you have reduced mobility or accessibility requirements.
