ATLAS calibration workshops
Event box
Dear ATLAS Reviewer
As new ATLAS is now underway using the new PSF, it’s timely to let you know about upcoming calibration workshops.
Advance HE run one hour workshops which are free to attend for Lancaster University staff. If you attend one of these Advance HE workshops, please note that the samples being shared are written to address Advance HE requirements for submission via their direct route. Lancaster University’s ATLAS has slightly different requirements, but the workshops will still be useful as both use the PSF as the marking criteria.

In addition to the Advance HE workshops, you have the opportunity to attend this Lancaster University ATLAS calibration workshop for ATLAS reviewers 25th April 1.30pm – 3pm in person. In advance of the workshop, all attendees will need to complete a calibration exercise and return their results which will be anonymously shared at the workshop.
It is anticipated that this preparation will take 45 minutes to one hour. We shall send out the preparatory tasks 2 weeks before the workshop and ask that you complete these two days ahead of the workshop.
The workshop will be similar to the Advance HE workshops based around discussion and scrutiny of one claim. The aim is to help you make professional judgements with regard to ATLAS D1-D3 claims.
Please note this is an optional workshop. All reviewers still need to complete the compulsory training in order to review.
If you cannot attend but wish to attend the workshop at a future date, then please let us know as we shall run another workshop like this if enough reviewers show interest.
Kind regards
The ATLAS Team
