ECOWild Field trip: Natural History, Bird Watching and Rock Pooling
Event box
Come on a Green Lancaster ECOWild fieldtrip in collaboration with ‘The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery’ for a day of natural history, bird watching and rock pooling. We will explore marine conservation issues related to Morecambe Bay and the history of the area.
In the morning we will be doing coastal bird watching and a recreational disturbance walk. We will be walking around Heysham head whilst we look out for birds and discuss the effects of recreational disturbance on them. Following lunch there will be a Marine Survey of the intertidal zone. There will be a creative element to the day where students will be asked to create an output such as an Instagram or facebook reel to share their discoveries.
We'll be getting the bus from Lancaster Bus Station. More details will be provided prior to the trip
