Join us for Play with Pride - Queer by Gum FC Taster Session on Wednesday, 26th June from 5:30pm-6:30pm. This hour-long session will take place on Lancaster University’s 3G pitch and is open to all staff, students, and alumni of all ablities.
Come and meet the Queer by Gum FC team, learn about the club, and experience football in an explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly setting. Queer by Gum FC is a proudly mixed ablities queer football club committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for members of the LGBTQ+ community. The club aims to create an environment where everyone can be themselves, free from judgment, on the football pitch.
The session will be led by Queer by Gum FC’s three coaches and will consist of:
- 10 mins - Introduction to Queer by Gum FC
- 30 mins - Drills focusing on basic football skills
- 20 mins - Friendly match
Please ensure you read Queer by Gum FC’s code of conduct prior to the session. It is recommended to wear athletic and breathable clothing. For footwear, it is highly recommended to wear moulded studs, firm ground studs, blades, or proper multi-stud (pimpled) astro-turf trainers. Please note that metal studs or blades are not permitted.
Water, footballs, bibs, and training cones will be provided. As a token of appreciation for your participation, all participants will be given a pair of rainbow laces to keep.
Please disclose any health conditions or risks upon registration. We look forward to seeing you there for a fun and inclusive evening of football!
