Managing Difficult Conversations

This workshop is appropriate for anyone that may need to have one-to-one conversations such as about poor performance, student conduct, or negative attitudes.
At the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Understand the need for 'difficult' conversations
- Conduct conversations using a structured approach
- Use a range of listening and questioning skills
- Describe a 3 stage process that can be used to defuse anger, calm someone down and move the situation forward.
This session will be held online via MS Teams. Please note this is an interactive session, where you will be required to get involved in group discussions. Ensure you are in a space where you can enagage fully in the workshop and speak freely. We also recomend that it is communicated within your team prior to attending the session to avoid being on the same time as a team member.
