Hi everyone,

We are a new service within Student Wellbeing called the Student Wellbeing Partnership Service.

Over the summer we will be hosting weekly socials where you can come and chat or get advice, find out what is available to support your wellbeing, and see if you’d like to get involved. These socials will be hosted by the Wellbeing Advisors; we offer specialist support for estranged and care leaver students and we also have a dedicated International Student Advisor so we are useful people to know!

We are here to talk you through the options for managing any worries or concerns you might have. It is confidential, free, and you choose what support you want to access. You are the experts! Our team are there for you at any time throughout the academic year so now is a good time to meet us and say hello. You can use the space how you want to; we just want the chance to get to know you, tell you about any support which might be useful, see what ideas you have about how we work with you to get the most from your studies.

Our team offer lots of varied support options including 1:1 Wellbeing Advice, running social spaces, workshops, training, peer mentoring, group mentoring, and a range of wellbeing projects aimed at supporting the wellbeing of students. We are also looking to recruit new peer mentors and set up some student advisory groups so that you can work with us to develop our service and make change across the university.

Our first wellbeing social will be on Wednesday 10th July 14:00-16:00, and we will run these every week until Welcome Week at the end of September. We will be based in Harpley Lounge, above Pendle Bar. We will be sure to put lots of signage up so you can find us. There is no need to book, and you are welcome to just turn up for some or all of the event. Any questions just drop us an email at wellbeing@lancaster.ac.uk

We look forward to meeting you!
