Presenting your research (postgraduates)
Event box
This short course is aimed at postgraduate students who want to develop their presentation skills. It is organised by the English Language Development team and will be most relevant for students whose first language is not English.
This short course provides a space to reflect upon your experiences of presenting in English and share strategies for overcoming any challenges you may face. You will then have an opportunity to give a presentation and receive feedback from the tutor and your peers.
The course is made up of four sessions: the first three (Thursdays Weeks 8-10) are with the whole group. The final session is an optional 30 minute one-to-one with the tutor to discuss feedback on your presentation and will be scheduled individually.
You will therefore need to be available to attend the course on the 28th Nov, 5th and 12th of December from 10-11.30am.
There are a limited number of places on the course, so please only sign up if you can commit to attending all three sessions.
If you have any questions, please email us on englishlanguagedevelopment@lancaster.ac.uk.
