In this session students will consider how to use information ethically and with integrity and will cover issue such as evaluating sources, referencing and plagiarism and copyright law. 

By the end of this session students and researchers should be able to: 

  • Use conventional academic practices in quoting, citing and paraphrasing. 

  • Evaluate and assess the quality of information they use 

  • Give attribution correctly and avoid plagiarism 

  • Adhere to copyright law and intellectual property rights  

  • Share and store  information and data ethically and legally
