ReStore Volunteering Taster Session 2
Event box
Join the ReStore team and meet new people whilst volunteering to sort through donated clothes and accessories, to be sold in the ReStore Lancaster Sustainable Shop on campus.
ReStore is partnered with St John’s Hospice and thousands of items are donated each week to bring you exciting new products to the shop. We aim to keep the shop fresh and exciting while supporting and raising money for local charity St John’s Hospice.
St John’s Hospice is a local charity that touches the lives of thousands of patients and families every year because of its palliative care. And we need your support.
So, whether you have a few hours, a day or a different timescale, you can make a significant contribution to your local community.
The Volunteering Taster Sessions will start at 10am and finish at 1pm, split into two sessions between 10am-11.30am and 11.30am-1pm. The event is open to staff and students and will consist of induction by the ReStore manager followed by sorting through bags of donated clothes and accessories, labelling, steaming, and preparing items for the shop floor.
If you are a student volunteering at ReStore it enables you to receive Lancaster Award points. You can find out more on the Lancaster Award webpage.
