Women's History Month 2025: Archives Research Centre drop-in day

To celebrate Women's History Month 2025,, the Special Collections and Archives are hosting a drop-in event in the Library’s Archives Research Centre on the Tuesday 11th March between 10am-4pm.
During the day we will be showing a selection of materials from our collections on this year’s theme: Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations. This includes publications for and by women from various communities who attended adult education course between 1970-2000 from the Changing Faces Archive; materials from the Jack Hylton Collection featuring well know female stars who appeared in his theatre productions; and publications from the Socialist Pamphlets and the Patten World War II Pamphlet collections about inspirational women from suffragettes to poems from the Women’s Land Army.
The Archives Research Centre in on the lower ground floor of the Library which is accessible from the southeast stairwell n the Library (https://link.mazemap.com/tqFEOdiB) or through our external entrance behind the Library just off the South Spine.
