Lancaster Quay and Canal Litter Pick
Event box
As part of the University’s Global Positive Change Week and to celebrate the International Day of Action for Rivers, we’re calling for student volunteers to help get Lancaster’s waterways looking the way they should… litter free!
The litter pick will take place on Friday 14 March along Lancaster Quay and part of the Lancaster Canal. If you’re familiar with the area, you’ll know just how beautiful it is, and if you don’t, we urge you to come and find out!
We will meet at Lancaster Bus Station at 10.30am before making our way to the Quay to start our litter pick, working towards the canal. We expect to finish by 1pm at the latest.
All litter-picking equipment and PPE will be provided, but we recommend wearing warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. Please bring sufficient snacks and drinks for the duration of the event.
