Our Approaching academic writing in English short course is made up of three workshops (one each week in weeks 6-8) and provides a space to explore and unpick some of the key features of academic writing in English. It is likely to be most useful for postgraduate students at the start of their studies at Lancaster but is open to returning students as well.

Week 8: Developing your own voice in a world of AI

In this session we will explore the role of voice in academic writing, focusing in particular on how you might build confidence in your own written voice and judgement in a world of AI. We'll also share ideas for how you can continue to develop your writing skills once the short course finishes.
