Approaching academic writing in English: developing your style (Masters' students)

Our Approaching academic writing in English short course is made up of three workshops (one each week in weeks 6-8) and provides a space to explore and unpick some of the key features of academic writing in English. It is likely to be most useful for postgraduate students at the start of their studies at Lancaster but is open to returning students as well.
Week 8: Developing your style
In this session we'll continue to explore features of academic style. We'll also discuss some common writing misconceptions and share ideas for how you might continue to build on your writing skills during your studies.
