Disability Reasonable Adjustments
People and Organisational Effectiveness POE Training Rooms 1 and 2 and meeting online on TEAMS
Due to the nature of this meeting we ask where possible that you attend in person
This meeting will provide an update on a review by the Disability and Inclusive Practice Service Review and enable us to offer comments and share ideas to support future developments. It is open to staff and students.
A world cafe workshop in which you will have the opportunity to hear about reasonable adjustments relevant for students, inclusive curriculum design and staff and then have the opportunity to share your experiences and suggestions for how we can be more inclusive.
Following a review by the Disability and Inclusive Practice Service the following questions and topics will be explored.
1. Which adjustments do you think we could remove from ILSPs to reduce the number of adjustments you have to recall and the number of ILSPs in circulation. - UG / PGR and / Staff focused tables
2. We will then have some discussion around the following three topics
- Structure of information contained within an ILSP
- Discussion and feedback around Disability Passport
- Accessibility of materials
3. We will then have some discussion around the following three topics
- Adjustments which are challenging to implement due to group size
- Training Requirements
- Communication about disability - e.g. disability history month,
