This workshop will help you to understand the publishing process for books and monographs and how to submit a proposal submission form to increase your chances of being approved by an editor. The workshop will be delivered by Alison Welsby, Editorial Director at Liverpool University Press and Lancaster University Library. Researchers from all disciplines are welcome to attend. 

The workshop will cover:

  • How to choose the right publisher
  • The commissioning process
  • Tips on completing the publisher proposal form
  • Reports and responses
  • How to write a short pitch (c.100 words) for your book to submit to an editor
  • How the Library can support you to publish your research
  • Q&A
