SUMMARY:Translating your skills and strengths for non-academic job applications (In-person)
DESCRIPTION:Many people fail to fully recognise the skills and experience 
 they have already gained in their career and\, as such\, do not know how to 
 sell these effectively when applying for a new job. We know that this is 
 especially true of early-career researchers\, who may not hold a formal 
 leadership or management role\, but often step forward to informally 
 motivate\, train or supervise other people\, or have a pivotal role in 
 managing projects and collaborations. Our masterclass will help you to 
 identify the unique skills you’ve built up during your research career 
 and communicate your leadership strengths clearly and confidently. We will 
 look at job adverts from a range of non-academic careers alongside typical 
 application processes\, considering how you can showcase your skills in a 
 variety of formats\, including CVs\, cover letters and other types of 
 application. We’ll also take a look at what is needed to stay resilient 
 during the job-seeking process\, navigating dead-ends and disappointments 
 whilst drawing out the learning from these.\n\nThis event is one of four 
 workshops to be held over two days. You need to register for each session 
 and are encouraged to sign up for the four workshops. Details of the other
