DESCRIPTION:Online Workshop\n\nSupport for associate teachers\, in 
 particular Postgraduates and researchers who teach\, is provided through 
 the Introduction to Teaching at Lancaster workshop and the Higher Education 
 Academy accredited Associate Teacher Programme (ATP)\n\nYou are also 
 encouraged to take advantage of any of the Continuing Educational 
 Development workshop opportunities\, intended for all those involved in 
 teaching and supporting students learning on Lancaster programmes.\n\nThis 
 induction course is designed to help postgraduates\, researchers and others 
 involved in modest amounts of demonstrating or seminar teaching to address 
 some of the basic skills and understanding they will need for their work. 
 It assumes that participants have little or no previous teaching 
 experience.\n\nThe workshop will cover:\n\n\n	an introduction to learning 
 and teaching in HE\n	issues surrounding marking\n	teaching small groups or 
 encouraging learning in workshops and laboratories (depending upon the 
 participant’s teaching role)\n	support for students and teaching locally 
 and nationally\n\n\nPlease note:​​​​ you do not currently need to 
 have any teaching hours in order to attend this event. Places are limited 
 and allocated on a first come first served basis. \n\nYou will receive a 
 letter of attendance on completion of the workshop for your/your 
 department's records.
