This meeting will be online only. We are moving to use Libcal to invite colleagues to register their attendance ILN 30th October Core Competence
Do you design a programme, module or support students with their learning? Do you know the difference between a competence standard and a learning outcome?
The roundtable ILN meeting is designed to offer a range of perspectives on Competence Standards and to provide an opportunity to ask questions, share examples, especially those relating to Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) standards. The information shared and gathered will be used to inform guidance, educational development to support future curriculum design as well as information, advice and guidance for students and use of reasonable adjustments.
Ann-Marie Houghton, (CEDA) Educational Developer will provide a brief introduction to recent guidance from Advance HE regarding Competence Standards.
Then each speaker will share their perspective and outline points for consideration and reflection followed by Q & A:
- Academic Quality, Standards and Conduct (ASQC): Stephen Bulman, Head of Academic Quality, Standards and Conduct
- Curriculum Educational Development Academy (CEDA): Caroline Briggs, Educational Developer
- Disability Inclusive Partnership Service (DIPS): Dawn Procter, Head of Service (Disability and Inclusive Practice) and Jess Walmsley, Disability and Inclusive Practice Service Manager
